About us

In 1959 Care City Bowlero closed its door and by doing so paved the path to the birth of todays family fun center and bowling alley in East Norriton, Facenda Whitaker Lanes. Facenda Whitaker Lanes opened it’s 28 lanes bowling alley in 1959 and is named after John Facenda, the then premier newscaster in Delaware Valley, and Jack Whitaker, the premiere sports and weatherman for the same station.

We're More Than Just A Bowling Alley

Facenda family fun center in East Norriton has gone through many changes in its 56 years. In 1960, there were 22 lanes added to the bowling alley, making up the 50 total lanes that still exist today. There were no major changes to Facenda Whitaker until 1985 when Steppy’s Sports Bar & Grille was added to the center. The next major change happened in 1989 when the automatic scoring and anvilane along with seating was added to the East Norriton facility.
